Well, that didn’t work!


Objective: Learning the procedure for ordering and receiving materials and where supplies are shelved.

Well, I did the right things. Opened the box. Read the packing slip. Found the order on the Master List.

But the list said the order had already been received. Two weeks ago. What?

Turns out I did not actually LOOK at what was in the box. The packing slip did record the previous order that was recorded as received. This is definitely a learning moment. And another revelation of how I do not pay close attention. That I do not attend to details well. This is not a fail, though. Just something to note and remind myself to slow down when I am performing this particular task.

And if I did not make mistakes, what would I have to learn?
